According to Kumar, his Aadhaar and PAN details were fraudulently used in 2022 to set up these firms. According to him, he has no connection to them and earns only Rs 10,000-12,000 per month from his shop. "I have nothing to do with these firms. A fraud was committed using my documents. My monthly income is Rs 10-12k," he was quoted by TOI as saying.

Kumar also revealed that police initially refused to register his complaint in 2022. The police allegedly told him that the matter fell under the jurisdiction of the income tax department, leaving him helpless.
