Mahindra & Mahindra on May 15 received over 50,000 bookings in the first 60 minutes of opening for its recently launched subcompact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) XUV 3XO, the automaker said in a statement.
The company received 27,000 bookings in the first 10 minutes itself, which demonstrated “incredible enthusiasm for Mahindra’s new SUV”, the carmaker said.
The new subcompact sub-four metre SUV, which was earlier called XUV 3OO, was launched on 29th May at its Nashik facility in Haryana. The bookings for this model was opened across the country on May 15 and the deliveries will begin from May 26.
M&M has already produced over 10,000 XUV 3XOs and has increased its manufacturing capacity to 9,000 per month, the company said.
This will be the most affordable SUV of the Mumbai-headquartered company and will be available in five variants with prices starting from Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It will provide competition to Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza and Kia Seltos sub-four metre SUVs.

The firm said bookings for XUV 3XO will continue to be open both online and at all authorised Mahindra dealerships.
Promoted as a 'Mini-XUV7OO" by M&M, XUV 3xO is available with three engine options, which comprises a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 109 BHP and 200 Nm, the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol ‘mStallion’ that makes 129 BHP and 230 Nm and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel that puts out 115 BHP and 300 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and a 6-speed AMT.
While unveiling the model, M&M stated that the he XUV 3XO is offered with a first-in-segment panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS.
Previously, in 2022, the automaker had received 100,000 bookings for its Mahindra Scorpio-N in just 30 minutes.
