But now, it’s in the news for a completely different reason, a viral comment by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, joking about two people in the audience who appeared awkward or overly familiar. One of them was reportedly a married executive from Astronomer, leading to widespread online chatter and speculation.

While the viral Coldplay moment has given Astronomer rare name recognition, experts, cited by WSJ, say this kind of publicity could hurt more than help.
“This visibility puts a spotlight on who Astronomer is, but it threatens the trust and credibility they’ve built quietly over years,” said Peter Davenport, a strategic branding consultant.
Astronomer has since issued a formal statement, confirming that its board has launched an internal investigation, and adding that it expects “leaders to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.”
