India reiterates support at UN for two-state solution

India has called for renewed global efforts to achieve a two-state solution to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, emphasizing the importance of “purposeful dialogue and diplomacy” amid a deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Speaking at the High-Level International Conference on "The Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of The Two-State Solution" held in New York, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, underlined the urgent need to bring both sides to the negotiating table.

India also expressed grave concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza, including the growing threat of famine.

The ambassador reaffirmed India’s longstanding support for a two-state solution, with both Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace within secure and recognized borders.
