IAEA delegation visiting Iran within 2-3 weeks will not have access to nuclear sites: Iranian official

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had said that the country has no plans to abandon its nuclear program, including uranium enrichment, despite "severe" damage to its facilities after US strikes last month.

An Iranian official said on Wednesday that a technical delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will visit Iran within two to three weeks, reports said. AFP reported the official as saying that the group will not have access to the country's nuclear sites.

AFP quoted Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi telling reporters, "We have agreed actually to accept a delegation of the IAEA, a technical delegation, to pay a visit to Iran very soon, in two to three weeks."

This comes after Israeli and US' strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities in June.
