Travel Sentiment After the Pahalgam Attack A survey conducted by the community social media platform LocalCircles gathered over 21,000 responses from travelers across 361 districts in India. Among 6,807 respondents who had travel plans to Kashmir between May and December 2025, 62 percent said they have already cancelled their trips, while only 38% remain committed to their plans.

Current Situation: What Pilgrims Should Know The April 22 terror attack in the Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam has impacted tourism across Jammu & Kashmir, including the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. Since the incident, there has been a noticeable decline in the number of daily visitors. This has affected local businesses that depend on the yatra for income.
