Top-5 Indian States with the Most Tulips in 2025

Himachal is gaining a stronger base in big plantations in hill stations like Palampur. To lower the importation of tulip bulbs, research institutions and state agencies have been engaged in indigenising tulip bulbs to increase their commercial and ornamental value.

Uttarakhand

Tulips go well in the cool climatic conditions of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand. They are planting gardens even in areas with a high elevation, such as Pithoragarh and Munsiyari, that receive visitors in the spring. The government is creating mega locations to encourage floriculture tourism as well as conventional trekking trails.

Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is also becoming a new entrant in tulips. With the use of shade nets and polyhouses in hilly areas such as Chintapalli, it has been able to produce exotic flowers such as tulips. These are an attempt to diversify the horticulture of the state.

Tulips are the strong point of Delhi in terms of social exhibits. Every winter, hundreds of thousands of bulbs are planted in the gardens of the people, in the ceremonial areas and government rest houses. These flowers are also used to introduce varieties to newer ones because they provide seasonal colour to the city.
