According to a new global study by digital financial service Remitly, some cities actually offer the calm, balance, and quality of life urban dwellers dream of — and the world’s least stressed city is quietly nestled in the Netherlands: Eindhoven.

Eindhoven Tops the Global Stress Index

Remitly analysed 170 cities worldwide, evaluating five key stress indicators: average commute time for 10 km, pollution levels, cost of living, healthcare quality and accessibility, and crime perception based on global surveys. Each city was given a stress score from 1 to 10, with 10 being the most stressful.
