Anchors aweigh: India's cruise craze, record footfalls draw Singapore OTA to its shores

India boasts of a 7,500-km coastline and over 14,000 km of navigable rivers, making it a strong market for ocean and river cruise tourism.

The rising interest in cruise vacations, record footfalls in 2023-24, and the Indian government's target of a million passengers by 2029 are all the factors that got a Singapore cruise-only online travel aggregator (OTA) dropping its anchor in India.

Launched in Singapore, Int2Cruises has expanded into its second market, India, with all major cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Silversea, MSC Cruises, Costa, Ama Waterways and Viking River Cruises and Disney Cruise Line.

In all, 25 global cruise liners, with 300 ships, 30,000 itineraries and more than 50,000 sailings.

The platform intends to bring more cruise bookings online.
