Zoho is giving its note-taking app, Zoho Notebook, a serious upgrade. The company has introduced a host of new AI-powered tools aimed at making note-taking, collaboration, and content organisation far more intelligent — not just for businesses, but also for students.
Built on Zoho’s privacy-first foundation, the latest version of Notebook brings Zia, the company’s in-house AI, directly into the experience. This means users can now ask questions, create smarter notes, and even generate mind maps, all inside the app.
AI that makes note-taking easier
One of the biggest additions is the new Intelligent Q&A Assistant. It can fetch answers from your existing notes through a feature called Ask with My Content, or help you understand new topics via Ask Anything. Imagine looking up something you wrote weeks ago — the app can now find and summarise it for you instantly.
For those constantly in meetings or lectures, Notebook AI can transcribe spoken conversations into well-organised, time-stamped notes with speaker tags and summaries. There’s also Mind Map Generation, which turns long documents into easy-to-read diagrams, helping users visualise complex information at a glance.
Smart writing and multilingual tools
Zoho has also added Smart Note Creation, letting users instantly create checklists, templates, or tables. Meanwhile, Writing Enhancement offers AI-based help to fix grammar, change tone, or summarise lengthy content — handy for both professionals and students trying to polish their writing.
Notebook AI’s Multilingual Voice Search and Translation makes it even more accessible. Users can search notes or translate content in over 80 languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, and Kannada. Plus, a new Tone and Voice Customisation feature lets you tweak how your notes sound — whether formal, casual, or confident.
Integrated, collaborative, and student-friendly
Notebook now works more seamlessly with other Zoho tools like Zoho CRM, Zoho Projects, and Zoho Mail, turning it into a central knowledge hub for teams. An upcoming Zoho Voice integration will even let CRM users attach AI-generated call notes and summaries automatically.
Perhaps the best news — students can access all of Notebook AI’s new features for free by signing up with their educational email IDs.
With these updates, Zoho is turning Notebook from a simple note app into an intelligent workspace — one that doesn’t just store your thoughts, but helps you think, write, and collaborate better.
