At the beginning of this month, Xiaomi introduced the 15 and 15 Ultra smartphones for the global markets in Barcelona at MWC 2025 and the Indian market this week. However, the company is now appearing to be developing the next T series model for the Xiaomi 15 series, comprising the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro models, which will succeed the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro.
Xiaomi 15T, 15T Pro codenames and model numbers revealed: Key details
As per a report by Smartprix, codenames of the Xiaomi 15T series have been spotted in the latest HyperOS 2.1 code. The leak adds that the Xiaomi 15T is codenamed ‘klimt,’ while the Xiaomi 15T Pro is reportedly known as ‘turner.’ These codenames were reportedly inspired by the name of the popular Austrian painter Gustav Klimt and British painter J.M.W Turner.
Moreover, the Xiaomi 15T Pro has the same internal codename as the upcoming Redmi K80 Ultra, which is expected to launch in China soon. Hence, the 15T Pro is expected to be a global rebrand of the Redmi K80 Ultra. However, the K80 Ultra and the 15T Pro have different model numbers.
The report also adds that the Xiaomi 15T is tipped to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8400 SoC, and the Pro is going with the Dimensity 9400 or 9400+ chipset. As for their launch timeline, these smartphones are likely to go official in September alongside the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 in global markets. However, like last year’s Xiaomi 14T series smartphones, these devices may not launch in India.
