After introducing the Vivo V50 and V50e smartphones this year, Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is now set to introduce the V50 Elite Edition smartphone in India soon. The brand has officially confirmed the device’s existence and its launch date in the country via its social media platforms, and it is the first V-series smartphone to come with an Elite Edition moniker.
Vivo V50 Elite Edition: Launch date, expected specifications
Vivo has confirmed that its Vivo V50 Elite Edition smartphone will launch in India on May 15 at 12 PM. The company shared a new video teaser on its handle, where the Elite Edition engraving can be seen on the back of the smartphone. Further, the device is confirmed to have a circular camera island with cameras tuned by Zeiss optics.
Previous reports claim that this smartphone is likely to borrow a lot of features from the standard Vivo V50 smartphone. If these claims are accurate, we can expect the Vivo V50 Elite Edition to ship with a 6.77-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. In terms of optics, it could pack two 50MP sensors on the rear and a 50MP selfie shooter.
Moreover, the V50 Elite Edition is expected to pack a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging support. Like other V50 smartphones, the phone will also likely include Aura Light and multiple AI features to further enhance the user experience.
Vivo V50 Elite Edition: Expected price
The Vivo V50 was launched with a starting price of Rs. 34,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. However, the Vivo V50 Elite Edition is expected to offer slightly more premium features, and hence could be priced below Rs 40,000 for its base variant.
