Vivo is said to be working on a new sub-brand called Jovi, which is also the name for Vivo's on-device AI assistant. Previously, multiple reports had confirmed that three smartphones are expected to be launched in the coming months from this spin-off brand. Now, the first smartphone from this new series has been spotted on the popular benchmarking website Geekbench, named the Vivo Jovi Y39 5G.
Vivo Jovi Y39 5G: Expected specifications
A new listing on Geekbench with model number V2444A is believed to be the upcoming Jovi Y39 5G. The listing shows that the phone will be powered by an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.21GHz. Further, the GPU listed is the Adreno 613, indicating that the processor could be Qualcomm’s budget 5G chipset, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC.
Moreover, the device can be seen running Android 15 and is expected to have a 6,000 mAh battery. No other hardware details of the Jovi Y39 5G are known just yet. Interestingly, its predecessor, the vivo Y38, launched back in May with the same processor, a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP selfie snapper, and a 6,000 mAh battery.
According to various reports, the other two smartphones to launch in the series could be the Jovi V50 and Jovi V50 Lite 5G. It is speculated that the Jovi sub-brand may remain exclusive to China for a few months before a global release in late 2025.
