Bethesda’s open-world role-playing game Starfield’s first expansion pack ‘Shattered Space’ has a confirmed release date. The Shattered Space DLC will release on September 30, 2024, the Skyrim and Fallout maker confirmed during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024. In Starfield, the story of the Shattered Space DLC will take you to a mysterious, uncharted starstation in the Starfield universe. “A mysterious power stirs in the city of Dazra on House Va'Ruun's hidden homeworld”, is what we know from the earlier, Shattered Space reveal trailer.
In Shattered Space, you are going to explore a new starstation. What you experience there is tied to the secretive House Va’Ruun, worshippers of a deity they call the Great Serpent.
Starfield: The Shattered Space DLC takes you to Va’Ruun’kai
You’re about to board a spaceship called The Oracle. Someone inside hails and warns you not to board. That gives you some extra motivation to board because Starfield is a game meant for adventurers at heart. When you get inside and begin to explore The Oracle, you’ll discover Va’Ruun’kai, the hidden world of House Va’Ruun.
Something’s gone seriously wrong with Va’Ruun’kai. The story goes that some folks from the House Va’Ruun experimented with grav drive technology, but the experiment failed and caused massive destruction in Dazra, the capital of Va’Ruun’kai. The terrible effects of the grav drive experiment didn’t just devastate Dazra but also the world beyond.
It happened two weeks before you arrived. Now, let’s talk about the condition Va’Ruun’kai is in.
The scale of destruction can be sensed from the fact that it ripped out the world into portions and now they are trapped separately inside gravitational distortions called ‘Vortexes.
Also, the leader of House Va’Ruun is nowhere to be seen. In the absence of a leader, the House Va’Ruun game of thrones has begun.
And to top it all, extra-dimensional monsters are entering Va’Ruun’kai because the failed experiment was strong enough to tear up the fabric of reality.
