Sony’s PlayStation State of Play 2025 starts tonight: How to watch, what to expect and more

Sony has confirmed that a State of Play stream on the PlayStation Blog, is scheduled to be streamed on February 12. This marks Sony’s first major State of Play event of the year and the company confirmed that the broadcast will be over 40 minutes long.

Sony’s PlayStation State of Play is set to return this week, promising major updates regarding upcoming games and other hardware related announcements on upcoming titles for PS5 and beyond. The company has confirmed that the presentation will kick off at 2 PM PT (3:30 AM IST, February 13) and will be live-streamed on PlayStation's official YouTube and Twitch channels.

This is 2025’s first State of Play broadcast, and it will be over 40 minutes long. However, the company did not mention the number of games that will feature at the presentation. In the PlayStation Blog post announcing the event, Sony confirmed that news and updates on great games coming to PS5 will be showcased in the event. Further, the show will celebrate a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world.

Sony PlayStation State of Play: What to expect

Last week, a trailer for the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater appeared briefly on the PlayStation Store, and it is now suggested that the game might be featured in the State of Play showcase event. While the trailer was quickly taken down, it confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater would arrive on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X on August 25, 2025. Hence an official announcement for PlayStation 5 could happen in this showcase.
