Samsung will unveil a new range of kitchen appliances at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, which will take place in Las Vegas from January 6 to January 9, including the latest iterations of its Bespoke AI refrigerator, over-the-range (OTR) microwave, slide-in range, and a new Bespoke AI Wine Cellar. The highlight of the presentation is that the upcoming Bespoke AI refrigerator lineup will be the first home appliance product category to ship with an upgraded version of AI Vision that’s now built using Google Gemini.
Samsung’s upcoming refrigerator series to include Google Gemini
Samsung has confirmed that its upcoming Bespoke AI series refrigerators, including the Bespoke AI Hybrid Refrigerators (with 9-inch AI Home screens), Bespoke AI Family Hub Refrigerator, and Infinite AI Wine Refrigerator, will feature an upgraded AI Vision system. This system is built with Google Gemini, marking the first time that it is being integrated into a refrigerator.
Previously, the Bespoke AI refrigerator series from Samsung could recognise up to 37 types of fresh food and 50 types of pre-registered processed food on-device. However, this latest AI version could recognise a wider range of fresh and processed foods and no longer requires manual registration for many packaged items. Samsung says the improved accuracy will make food inventory tracking more accurate.
The company also plans to showcase a Bespoke AI Wine Cellar, which also uses a Gemini-powered AI Vision system. The wine cellar features a camera that can automatically recognise wine labels when bottles are added or removed, tracking each bottle stored in the shelf and compartment, and synchronising everything with the SmartThings AI Wine Manager.
