OnePlus quashes rumours of company shutting down operations

Fresh speculation has put OnePlus under the spotlight, with a new report claiming the smartphone brand could be heading towards an exit from the market. While nothing has been confirmed and OnePlus has made no such announcement, rumours are doing the rounds.

A new report from Android Headlines claims that Oppo, OnePlus’s parent company under the wider BBK umbrella, may be preparing to shut down the OnePlus smartphone business altogether.

OnePlus has come out strongly and denied any such rumours. Robin Liu, CEO, OnePlus India, in a post on X, said, "I wanted to address some misinformation that has been circulating about OnePlus India and its operations. We’re operating as usual and will continue to do so.
Never Settle."

Furthermore, an official OnePlus handle on X also moved to deny any rumours. "Recent unverified reports claiming OnePlus is shutting down are false. OnePlus India's business operations continue as normal. We urge all stakeholders to verify information from official sources before sharing unsubstantiated claims."
