In the coming weeks, many Chinese smartphone brands are likely to launch their flagship and midrange smartphones in their homeland, with a global release to follow soon. Along similar lines, Oppo is also reportedly gearing up to unveil its Reno 15 series, as the smartphone lineup has started to make the rumour mill, revealing its key details. New leaks have now revealed that the Oppo Reno 15 series will be powered by upcoming MediaTek Dimensity chips and revealed its expected global release timeline.
Oppo Reno 15 series: Expected India launch timeline, specs
According to popular tipster Yogesh Brar, the Oppo Reno 15 series is now in the testing phase in global markets, including India. Further, the lineup is tipped to debut in India early next year. On Weibo, another tipster known as Smart Pikachu suggests that one of these handsets could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, which is expected to launch soon.
The same source also mentions that some of these new devices could feature 200MP cameras alongside a periscope lens. A few previous reports suggested that these handsets could pack an enormous 10,000mAh battery, which would be a major jump from the 6,000mAh-plus capacity seen in the Reno 14 lineup.
The Oppo Reno 15 series is expected to make its debut in China next month. It will likely include the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro+. All these phones are expected to come with 120Hz 1.5K OLED screens. The top-end Reno 15 Pro+ could use an LTPO panel, which will adjust the refresh rate dynamically to conserve battery.
