Oppo deepens AI partnership with Google to bring privacy-focused mobile AI to the Find X9 series

Joint work with Google targets context-aware and secure mobile AI delivery
Oppo said the extended cooperation is built to move beyond generic AI tools toward assistants that understand personal context without exposing data. The companies are co-engineering elements ranging from personalized inference to AI deployment methods. Oppo’s software lead framed the effort as a move to make mobile AI both actionable and safe to entrust with user-level information.

Mind Space provides a unified capture layer connected to Gemini
A new app called Mind Space will debut on the Find X9 series to store on-screen content through a three-finger swipe gesture. Saved text, images and webpages are organized in one hub. Through the partnership, Gemini can act on specifically permitted Mind Space items, such as assembling itineraries from saved material. Oppo states the user retains control over what Gemini can access.

Gemini integrates across the system for multimodal help and image work
Gemini will interact across Oppo’s apps, accept shared screens or camera feeds for live guidance, and highlight elements on-screen through Gemini Live. For photos, users can invoke Nano Banana, a generative editing model inside Gemini, to make creative or corrective modifications using text prompts.

Privacy is enforced via confidential computing and zero-access guarantees
The AI system runs on Oppo’s AI Private Computing Cloud backed by Google Cloud confidential computing so that sensitive data remains encrypted and unreadable even to infrastructure providers. Core AI functions including AI Search, AI VoiceScribe, AI Recorder, AI Writer, AI Call Summary and AI Mind Space operate within this protected environment.

Launch begins with Find X9 and ColorOS 16 with bundled Gemini access
The suite debuts on Oppo’s Find X9 and Find X9 Pro with ColorOS 16 on flagships. Buyers receive a three-month Google AI Pro subscription with extended Gemini features and 2TB cloud storage, subject to regional availability.
