After OnePlus 12, OnePlus has now rolled out the update for the stable version of OxygenOS 15 for the OnePlus 12R users globally, bringing a host of new features and improvements. This update is based on Android 15 and promises to make the smartphone faster and smoother than ever.
OxygenOS 15 stable update now available for OnePlus 12R
The OxygenOS 15, as informed by OnePlus’s official community post, is currently available in batches for regions including India, Europe, and other global markets. The 3.54GB over-the-air (OTA) update carries the software version CPH2585_15.0.0.200(EX01) for Indian users. OnePlus has also provided a rollback option for Android 14 to those who wish to go back.
If we talk about its features, the OxygenOS 15 update for the OnePlus 12R comes with a refreshed Home screen with redesigned icons. It also has a OneTake feature, that allows users to change visual settings for the Always-On Display and Lock screen. The Always-On Display mode now supports classic and flux (seamless, fluid animations) modes.
The multitasking experience is also improved with new Floating Window gestures, allowing users to interact with apps more flexibly. Swiping down on any notification banner opens a floating window, and users can easily resize or close it with simple gestures. OxygenOS 15 also comes with a Charging Limit feature that halts charging at 80% to help preserve battery longevity and prevent degradation over time, similar to iPhones.
Further, the update brings AI-powered productivity features like AI Notes, which enhances writing by adjusting structure and transcribing voice recordings. We also get AI Reply, which generates contextually relevant responses in chat apps for quicker replies. Additionally, Google's Circle to Search feature, popular on the Pixel 8 and Samsung Galaxy S24 series phones, is now available on OxygenOS 15, allowing users to search the web using gestures like drawing circles.
