OnePlus is offering free screen replacement for select smartphones in India: All the details

Various OnePlus smartphones have received various green line issues on their AMOLED displays. As a result, many OnePlus smartphone users have been reporting these issues on social media platform users, which is wrongly attributed because of faulty software updates. However, the company has now announced that it will offer a ‘Lifetime Free Screen Upgrade’ service to some older smartphones.

This service was spotted by an X user named Starcommander in the Red Cable Club section of OnePlus phones. The offer guideline mentions that OnePlus will provide free screen replacement to users experiencing these green line display issues. The promotion is specifically for owners of the OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9R smartphones and is part of the Red Cable Club membership.

Additionally, Android Authority also reports that the OnePlus's free screen upgrade includes a free Screen Diagnostics and Service Initiative and has three tiers of services. The first Comprehensive Diagnostic involves an inspection of the screen's performance and reliability.

The second Screen Upgrades and Replacements service will offer eligible users a new advanced display panel, that the company assures will have improved display durability and performance. The report also adds that devices that have physical damage such as drop marks or liquid intrusion, won’t be a part of this upgrade.
