OnePlus 15 may ditch curved screen for a flat display, leak suggests

OnePlus could be going for a fresh new look with its upcoming OnePlus 15, if a recent leak is anything to go by. According to popular tipster Digital Chat Station, the next flagship phone from OnePlus might come with a flat display—a noticeable change from the curved screen design we've seen in its previous models like the OnePlus 13.

In a post on Chinese social media site Weibo, the tipster shared that a prototype of a new phone—believed to be the OnePlus 15—is currently being tested with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. While the phone wasn’t named directly, the details strongly hint that it’s the OnePlus 15.

The leaked information suggests that the OnePlus 15 could feature a 6.78-inch flat screen with a 1.5K resolution. Unlike the OnePlus 13, which had a curved 2K display, the new screen is expected to have rounded corners and very slim borders, giving it a clean, modern look similar to recent iPhones.

The flat design, along with something called LIPO packaging, may help make the phone look almost bezel-less and more symmetrical from the front. The focus this time seems to be on a lightweight, minimal design, which could appeal to fans of sleek, no-frills devices.
