Nothing’s basic Gallery app has finally received a major update that brings it in line with other Android Gallery apps like Google Photos, Samsung Gallery and others. Carl Peri has announced the Gallery 2.0 update via X in a post.
“At the end of last year, with Nothing OS 3.0, we launched our native Nothing Gallery app. Today, we're expanding it with a new built-in editing feature”, Pei mentioned in the post.
As a part of the update, the Gallery app not only gets a major missing feature, but also stability improvements.
Nothing Gallery 2.0 update: What’s new:
According to Pei’s post on X, the Gallery app now comes with photo and video editing features natively. That includes basic adjustments like cropping and rotation options.
Along with this, colour grading – up to 12 turning parameters – is also part of the Gallery 2.0 update.
Moreover, Filters have also made cut to the Nothing’s Gallery app, where users will get 10 nothing-designed filters with an intensity adjustment option.
Moving on, users can now also edit video with options like trim, adjust volume, adjust slow motion speed, etc.
Rollout and supported devices
Nothing Phone 3 is now rolling out to all users via the Google Play Store. To update the app, users can head to PlayStore and download the update. As far as compatibility is concerned, all the Nothing and CMF phones running Nothing OS 3.0 will get the update.
Nothing Phone 3 launch
As mentioned, the Gallery 2.0 update comes ahead of the Phone 3 launch next month. Now, the Phone 3 is said to be the flagship model from the company with improved camera capabilities, and a lacklustre Gallery app could have diluted its presence in the premium Android space, considering the competition offers better Photos apps. The Gallery 2.0 update brings it in line with other options in the segment.
