Microsoft is rolling out a new offline mode for the OneDrive web version, especially for students and professional users. Microsoft via its official blog post, listed the advantages of the new offline mode. This feature will let OneDrive’s web users marked as offline navigate to their favourite files and the home section without any internet connection. Users can also rename, arrange, and copy files, and will all be synced up once they are back online.

You can also free up local storage space by modifying or moving the OneDrive files to a PC. Both actions were previously available through File Explorer on Windows PC, but you can now carry these out directly from the OneDrive web version. Microsoft has also promised a 3x performance improvement while utilising OneDrive, thanks to the OneDrive Sync app.
