Action-adventure game “Jaws: Retro Edition” will launch on February 13, developer Limited Run Games announced. The classic retro game will be available on PS5, PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch.
Jaws: Retro Edition takes you to the creature horror universe of Jaws, created by author Peter Benchley, which was later expanded into films. A Great White shark has arrived in the waters it was not expected to arrive in. So, how do you plan to fight this shark and the various other enemies in the sea? Speed and judicious use of weaponry are advised if you want to stay alive and eliminate them. To navigate the seas and take on the Great White, you get the mini-sub, scuba gear, sailboat and even a seaplane.
JAWS: Retro Edition comes with two gameplay modes: Retro Edition and Enhanced Edition. The Retro Edition gives you the original 2D action game, updated with new quality-of-life improvements, while the Enhanced Edition is the expanded version and takes you on a multi-chapter sea adventure interspersed with nods and homages to all the Jaws franchise films.
In JAWS: Retro Edition, you can now save anywhere and rewind if you want to. The game features Achievements/Trophies, Music Player and Gallery.
The JAWS: Enhanced Edition is a complete overhaul of the original game and expands upon it in a big way. It adds four new adventures for the players, and there will be new objectives to cover. The gameplay is faster in the Enhanced Edition, and the enemies are deadlier. The game equips you for the more challenging enemies by giving you new weapons and more ways to kill them. Divers get new weapons and abilities to kill the threats in the sea. The boat also gets new weapons and upgrades. You can buy tools and upgrades at the port.
