The Intel® Xeon® 6700/6500 series processors with P-cores offer a strong balance of performance and energy efficiency for modern data centers. They deliver 1.4x better performance than the previous generation across various enterprise workloads. Xeon 6 is also optimized for AI, working well as a host CPU alongside a GPU. Compared to AMD’s 5th Gen EPYC processors, Xeon 6 achieves up to 1.5x better AI inference performance using one-third fewer cores. It also improves efficiency, enabling a 5:1 server consolidation on average, with potential for 10:1 in some cases, reducing total cost of ownership by up to 68%.

The Intel Xeon 6 is a system-on-chip (SoC) designed for high performance and power efficiency in network and edge applications. It integrates Intel’s built-in accelerators for vRAN, media, AI, and network security, meeting the increasing demand for AI-driven solutions. According to Intel, the processor offers up to 2.4x higher RAN capacity and 70% better performance-per-watt than previous generations, thanks to Intel vRAN Boost. It is also the first server SoC with a built-in media accelerator (Intel Media Transcode Accelerator), delivering up to 14x performance-per-watt improvement over the Intel Xeon 6538N.
