India's fintech sector has been 'cloud-native from day one', which has resulted in rapid innovation, scalability, and seamless customer experiences, says Amazon Web Services (AWS).

"The fintech customers are very born in the cloud customers. They don't know what a data center is, right? So they are really innovating, addressing specific business challenges and coming up with new ideas," Kiran Jagannath, Head of financial services and conglomerates, AWS India and South Asia, told Moneycontrol.

Examples include Razorpay, Juspay, and Zerodha, who have utilised AWS to build robust platforms for digital payments, trading, and financial services in the country. They rely on AWS's over 240 cloud services to support high transaction volumes, enhance security, and maintain uptime during peak demand.

As digital transactions surge and customer expectations evolve, fintechs need platforms that can handle sudden spikes in traffic without compromising performance. AWS's multi-availability zone architecture in Mumbai and Hyderabad ensures high availability and fault tolerance, allowing fintechs to maintain uninterrupted services even during high-traffic periods.
