Xiaomi has started rolling out HyperOS 3, its latest Android 16-based operating system, for global users between October and November 2025. The update introduces enhanced AI features, visual redesigns, and improved system performance for select Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco smartphones and tablets outside China.
HyperOS 3: Eligible devices
The first wave of eligible models includes the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 15, and Xiaomi 15T series, along with the Xiaomi MIX Flip. From Redmi, the Redmi Note 14 lineup is receiving the update, while Poco users can expect it on the POCO F7 and POCO X7 series, including the POCO X7 Pro Iron Man Edition. Tablet users will also get the update on the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, Pad 7, and Pad Mini.
HyperOS 3 : Features and improvements
HyperOS 3 delivers measurable performance gains, including a 4% lower CPU load, 10% better energy efficiency, and 18.9% reduced frame loss rate, resulting in smoother navigation and faster response times. App launch speed is said to be 21% faster, and video playback performance improves by 10%. A new hot-swappable task scheduler enhances multitasking, while upgraded graphics scheduling ensures better gaming stability.
Visually, HyperOS 3 introduces Xiaomi Super Island, an interactive notification hub similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, supporting over 70 live activity services such as delivery updates and timers. The interface now includes AI-driven wallpapers, cinematic lock screens, redesigned icons, and flexible grid layouts.
AI-powered tools and assistant
Artificial intelligence takes a central role with the Super XiaoAi Assistant, capable of understanding on-screen content and offering contextual suggestions. A new Circle-to-Search feature lets users search, translate, copy, or share content directly from the display.
How to download HyperOS 3
Users can check for the update by navigating to Settings → About Phone → System Update and tapping Check for updates. Since the rollout is gradual, eligible devices will receive the update in phases through November 2025
