Haier India has introduced the new Gravity AI Series Air Conditioners in the country, expanding its portfolio with models built around the company’s AI-AtmoX technology. Announced at the ‘AI for Air’ event at its Greater Noida facility, the new lineup is designed to strengthen the brand’s presence in the Indian AC market, where it currently holds an 8% share and aims to reach 17% by 2030.
AI features
The Gravity AI Series is powered by three pillars of the AI-AtmoX platform: AI for savings, AI for comfort, and AI for service. For energy management, AI-AtmoX Power Manager provides graphical electricity tracking, real-time cost insights and mode-wise usage data along with multi-level AI Eco for optimised energy consumption. The upgraded AI Climate Control 2.0 studies user habits, room temperature and outdoor weather to personalise cooling, while AI Pre-Cooling activates when the user enters a 100-meter geofence. AI Target Cooling directs airflow based on installation and usage patterns for focused cooling.
The ACs feature two self-cleaning systems. AI IDU Frost Self Clean performs an internal cleaning cycle every 240 hours, while AI ODU Cyclone Clean offers automatic outdoor unit cleaning using reverse airflow, which Haier says is the first of its kind in India.
Manufacturing expansion
Haier showcased the new ACs alongside updates on its expanded manufacturing ecosystem. The company has completed Phase 2 of its AC plant and inaugurated a new Injection Molding facility at its Greater Noida campus. With an upcoming factory adding 2.5 million units of annual capacity, Haier expects total production to reach 4 million units by 2027. The brand says 90% of its products are now manufactured locally.
Commenting on the launch, NS Satish, President, Haier Appliances India, said the Gravity AI Series “represents the next frontier in AI-driven home appliances” and supports the company’s “Made in India, Made for India” strategy.
Availability
The Haier Gravity AI Series ACs start at Rs 49,990 and will be available across online and offline retail channels. The lineup includes four colour variants: Morning Mist, Moon Stone Grey, Midnight Dream and White.
