More power with the Tensor 5 chipGoogle’s latest Tensor 5 chip will power all Pixel 10 models, promising better performance and improved AI tasks. Display brightness is getting a nice boost, with peaks up to 3,000 nits. There are also minor improvements in charging speeds and battery capacity, especially for the Fold, which should offer longer battery life.
Camera upgrades and trade-offsThis year, the standard Pixel 10 will get a telephoto lens, which wasn’t there before. However, it might slightly downgrade the main and ultrawide cameras. The Pro and Fold versions mostly keep the same setup with a few tweaks. Overall, the Fold model gets the biggest upgrade in terms of battery and durability.
Android 16 with smarter AI featuresPixel 10 phones will ship with Android 16 out of the box, featuring Pixel-exclusive perks. A new AI assistant called Pixel Sense will help with tasks across your apps. Expect cool AI tools like “Speak to Tweak” for photos and maybe some new video editing tricks, along with a free Google AI Pro subscription.
