Although the issue has now been fixed, Google is specifically advising iOS users to reinstall the YouTube app manually. The company shared an update stating,

“The issue is fixed! If you’re using an iOS device, please reinstall the app. Thanks for your patience while we looked into this.”
Reinstalling ensures that iPhone users get the latest stable version of the app from the App Store, which includes the necessary fix. This step also clears any residual glitches that may persist from the previous installation.
