Instagram in 2024 saw Indian artists joining forces with international stars, creating a blend of global and regional music. Popular Indian artist Diljit Dosanjh collaborated with Saweetie for the track ‘Khutti,’ while King partnered with Nick Jonas on the song ‘Maan Meri Jaan.’ All of these songs reflected the growing cross-border appeal of Indian music, said Instagram.

The influence of Indian trends also spread globally. The Asoka makeup trend was one such example, with creators in countries like Indonesia, Nigeria, and Slovakia trying it out. Tracks like 'Big Dawgs' and 'Taambdi Chaambdi' achieved global recognition. Moreover, the re-release of films like Rockstar and Laila Majnu brought back memories for many, while the 30th anniversary of Friends was celebrated by global fans on Instagram. Among the new releases, the third season of the series Mirzapur and Panchayat, as well as Laapataa Ladies, received widespread acclaim for its talent and Oscar entry.
