Apple has now introduced the iOS 18 update for eligible iPhones, and we have already received multiple developer beta updates of the new OS version as well. Although the major focus of this new OS update has been the introduction of Apple Intelligence (AI) features, the Cupertino-based tech giant has now provided a big change to the Find My app that should make recruiting help to find your lost items and devices much easier.

With the latest iOS 18.2 developer update, you can simply open up the Find My app and navigate to a tracked item. The app now has a ‘Share Item Location’ option, where you'll see an option to get a link to share with someone to find the location of your missing item. This feature was first spotted by MacRumors, and it even lets you send the link to people outside your address book.

The link lasts a week before expiring or until you mark the item as found. You can also see how many people have checked the link to track users who have been looking for your lost item. With the iOS 18.2 update, we also get a ‘Show Contact Info’ tab that lets any phone connect with an item and open a website, which will show your phone number and email, especially if you’ve added those details to the item’s contact page.
