Apple is all set to open its first-ever retail store in Noida on December 11 at DLF Mall of India, and now the lease details for the space have come to light. This will be Apple’s fifth store in India and the second in the Delhi-NCR region after the company opened its Saket store earlier this year.
According to sublease documents accessed by CRE Matrix and reported by Hindustan Times, Apple has taken 8,240 square feet of space on the ground floor of DLF Mall of India. The space is spread across six adjoining units, which together will form the new Apple Store.
The lease period for the store is 11 years. Interestingly, the first year of the lease will be rent-free for Apple. After that, the company will begin paying rent at a rate of Rs 263.15 per square foot. This means Apple will pay about Rs 45.3 lakh per month, which works out to roughly Rs 5.4 crore annually.
Over the entire 11-year term, Apple is expected to spend close to Rs 65 crore in rent, excluding periodic rent increases. The agreement reportedly includes a clause that raises the rent by 15 percent every three years, a common structure in commercial leasing. Apple signed this lease earlier this year on February 25.
The upcoming Noida store joins Apple’s growing retail footprint in India. The company already operates stores in Mumbai’s BKC, Delhi’s Saket, Pune’s Koregaon Park and Bengaluru’s Hebbal. These stores are all within the 8,000 to 9,000 square foot range, similar to the Noida outlet. Their rents vary as well, with the BKC store reportedly costing Apple around Rs 48 lakh per month, while the Saket store is said to be around Rs 40 lakh per month.
Apple says the new Noida store will offer the same immersive Apple Store experience seen in major cities worldwide. This includes hands-on areas for the latest devices such as the iPhone 17 series, creative learning sessions and in-person support from Specialists, Creatives and Geniuses. There will also be dedicated teams to assist business customers.
To build excitement, Apple has released exclusive wallpapers and a curated Apple Music playlist inspired by Noida’s vibe. The store will officially open at 1 pm on December 11.
After Noida, Apple is already planning its next move. The company is expected to open a second Mumbai store next year at Sky City Mall in Borivali, further expanding its presence across India.
