Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17 series in September 2025, and fans will have to wait at least another year for a smaller Dynamic Island. The Dynamic Island feature on the iPhone 17 display will remain largely unchanged, according to renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Earlier speculation had suggested that Apple would reduce the size of the Dynamic Island. However, Kuo predicts that the iPhone 17 lineup will retain the same design as its predecessors.

Introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro series, the Dynamic Island replaced the traditional display notch and has been praised for its functionality.

Kuo's prediction challenges earlier claims from Jeff Pu of Haitong International Tech Research, who suggested that the iPhone 17 Pro Max would employ advanced "metalens" technology for its proximity sensor, potentially leading to a more compact design. Kuo, in a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), said, “I expect the Dynamic Island size to remain largely unchanged across the 2H25 iPhone 17 series.”
