Apple iPhone 16: Rumoured launch date, what to expect and more

Last week, a fake Apple event invite was floating around on social media platforms. The fake invite alleged that Apple could unveil the iPhone 16 series on September 10. However, Apple hasn’t officially announced the launch date. So when can you expect the iPhone 16 to launch?

iPhone 16: Rumoured launch date

Traditionally, Apple launches new iPhones in the second week of September and sends out event invites to the media two weeks or so before it. For instance, last year, the event date was announced on August 29 and the event was held on September 2022. Similarly, in 2022, the announcement came on August 2, followed by the event on September 7.

Going back further, in 2021, the announcement was made on September 7, whereas the event took place on September 14. And in 2020, the announcement and event dates were September 8 and 15, respectively. Do keep in mind that in 2020 and 2021, it was a virtual event and Apple didn’t hold an in-person gathering.
