Apple has expanded its AppleCare+ protection offerings in India, rolling out more flexible subscription options and — for the first time — AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for iPhone. The move gives customers broader, longer-term protection choices at lower entry prices, strengthening Apple’s services play in a fast-growing market.
“With today’s updates in India, we’re making it easier and more affordable to get trusted protection, including access to our most complete coverage for iPhone,” said Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing.
The enhanced portfolio includes new monthly and annual AppleCare+ plans that customers can keep for as long as they want. The standout addition, AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for iPhone, now covers up to two incidents of theft or loss per year — on top of the existing AppleCare+ benefits like unlimited accidental-damage repairs with genuine Apple parts, 24/7 priority support, and battery replacement services. Pricing for the Theft and Loss plan starts at Rs 799.
Customers can view available plans and purchase coverage for eligible devices directly via the Settings app on iPhone, iPad or Mac, with protection starting immediately after signup.
The expansion underscores Apple’s push to deepen after-sales support and service revenues in India, where device ownership is rising and premium phone adoption continues to surge.
Apple is expected to sustain strong double-digit growth for the next 3–4 years, driven by surging iPhone demand and a rapidly expanding ecosystem of MacBooks and iPads. This momentum will be reinforced by a growing offline retail network, a wider premium reseller base and an expanding manufacturing and supply-chain ecosystem, Moneycontrol reported.
Apple entered India’s top five smartphone makers by volume in Q3 2025, with the country becoming its third-largest iPhone market, Counterpoint data shows. The brand led the premium-segment value share at 28%, up from 22% in 2024, fuelled by strong demand for the iPhone 16 and 15 series. The iPhone 17 launch has already outpaced the early demand of its predecessor.
While iPhones continue to drive most of Apple’s India momentum, ecosystem products are contributing significantly.
