Apple CEO Tim Cook made a virtual appearance at a White House business roundtable hosted by US President Donald Trump, reaffirming Apple’s commitment to American innovation and its ties to US manufacturing. According to a report by Fox Business, though he couldn’t attend in person, Cook delivered message via satellite—once again showcasing his political finesse in navigating administrations of all stripes.

“We are a uniquely American company,” Cook declared, repeating a line he’s used in the past. “Apple could only have been created in the United States, and we care deeply about our impact on this country.” He pointed to Apple’s investments in domestic manufacturing, particularly semiconductors, as part of a broader $500 billion pledge reframed as “new investment.”

The appearance signals Apple’s intent to maintain a working relationship with US leadership regardless of political winds, especially as trade tensions and tariffs remain a risk. Cook praised Trump’s “focus on domestic semiconductor manufacturing” and said Apple would “continue to work with the administration.”

"I want to take a moment to recognise President Trump's focus on domestic semiconductor manufacturing," said Cook, "and we will continue to work with the administration as we invest in these areas."
