Apple Arcade will add eight new games to its library, including titles like Balatro+ and NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition. The game subscription service for Apple users will first add these three new games: NFL Retro Bowl ’25, Monster Train+ and Puzzle Sculpt. While NFL Retro Bowl ’25 is the first NFL-licensed game to come to Apple Arcade, Puzzle Sculpt is an Apple Vision Pro spatial game.
On September 26, Apple Arcade will welcome 2024’s deck-building game Balatro+ which can be played across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. The next big game to come to Apple Arcade will be NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition which will arrive on October 3.
The remaining three games confirmed for Apple Arcade are Food Truck Pup+, Furistas Cat Cafe+ and Smash Hit+.
Balatro+
Balatro+ is a deck-building game developed by LocalThunk and published by Playstack Ltd. According to the developers, Balatro is “a magical mix of card games like Solitaire and Poker” in which you can twist the rules. In the game, you aim to “beat the Boss Blinds by making strong poker hands”.
Each run in Balatro+ is different. The game features more than 150 Jokers, each with their special powers. The game offers you different game modes like the Campaign mode and the Challenge mode.
NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition
NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition features both outdoor streetball courts and indoor courts, a new badge system to make your MyPLAYER into an NBA legend and a revamped Greatest Mode. You can also customise your indoor MyCOURT in the 2K game.
In NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition, you can “recruit NBA Legends to join your streetball squad and challenge players from across the globe in PvP Ranked Matches via Connection Games”.
