Alienware unveiled its latest range of gaming devices at CES 2025, including the Alienware 27 QD-OLED gaming monitor, the revamped Area-51 desktop, and new models of its Area-51 laptops. These devices are designed for gamers who demand top-tier performance and cutting-edge features.
Alienware 27 QD-OLED gaming monitor
The Alienware 27 QD-OLED monitor features a 4K resolution with Quantum Dot OLED technology, promising enhanced colour accuracy and higher contrast. It offers a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.1ms response time, making it ideal for competitive gaming. NVIDIA G-Sync support is included, reducing screen tearing and latency.
Area-51 desktop
Alienware’s redesigned Area-51 desktop has the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs. It supports up to 128GB DDR5 RAM and features a modular design for easier upgrades. The desktop also introduces advanced cooling solutions to handle intensive gaming sessions.
Area-51 laptops
The Area-51 laptops have Intel Core Ultra processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics. They boast a 16-inch QHD+ display with a 240Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. Other features include AlienFX lighting, customisable RGB zones, and an updated cooling system for improved thermal efficiency.
Pricing and availability
The Alienware 27 QD-OLED gaming monitor is priced at $1,299 and will be available starting February 2025. The Area-51 desktop starts at $3,499, while the Area-51 laptops start at $2,199. Both will launch in March 2025.
