Just days after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) filed a complaint against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav, which resulted in him being found guilty and fined 30 percent of his match fee, the PCB has now raised another issue involving an Indian player. This time, the board has lodged a complaint with the ICC against fast bowler Arshdeep Singh, accusing him of engaging in an "unethical" act during the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash between India and Pakistan on September 21.
The timing of this move is notable, as it comes right before the two arch-rivals are scheduled to meet in the final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
According to a report by Geo News, the PCB has alleged that Arshdeep made “obscene gestures” towards spectators following the conclusion of the Super Four encounter, in which India defeated Pakistan by six wickets after a hard-fought contest.
The report further stated that the PCB deemed the gesture as a violation of the ICC Code of Conduct, describing it as “unethical” and “damaging to the spirit of the game.” The board has reportedly urged the ICC to take “appropriate disciplinary action” against the pacer.

This latest complaint follows the earlier controversy surrounding Suryakumar Yadav, whom the PCB had accused of breaching ICC regulations by making a politically charged statement. After India’s group-stage victory over Pakistan, Suryakumar had dedicated the win to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, a gesture the PCB claimed was against ICC’s rule prohibiting political messaging in cricket.
