RR Team IPL 2025: For the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) have put up a strong team that combines seasoned internationals with up-and-coming players. Rajasthan Royals, who had won the inaugural IPL title in 2008 under the captaincy of the late legend Shane Warne, possess a potent mix of established stars and promising youngsters for the 2025 edition.
Strengths
A solid core of Indian players who have been retained, such as Sandeep Sharma, Dhruv Jurel, Riyan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and captain Sanju Samson. With almost 7,200 runs in T20 cricket, including six hundreds, skipper and wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson has a plethora of experience. Rising star in Indian cricket, Yashasvi Jaiswal has proven essential to RR in past seasons with his aggressive batting style. West Indian left-hander Shimron Hetmyer's ability to quicken the pace of scoring gives the middle order more firepower.

Jofra Archer is a key member of the bowling department at RR because of his accuracy and velocity. The RR spin attack gains depth from the Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga's talent for taking vital wickets. Another excellent spinner Maheesh Theekshana can cause problems for even the best batsmen with his variations.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made headlines when he became the youngest player to be signed at an IPL auction at the age of 13. His quick ascent demonstrates RR's dedication to developing fresh talent.
Weaknesses
Squad balance does not look adequate. The Royals lack reliable front-line Indian spinners and seam-bowling all-rounders. Additionally, their squad's only backup hitters are Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 13, and Shubham Dubey and Kunal Rathore, who have not yet been capped. There is a gap now that the swashbuckling overseas batter Jos Buttler has left. There aren't any seasoned foreign batters in the current squad, which can put more pressure on the home players.

There have been questions raised over RR's squad's depth. Prime batters, pacers, and spinners have few backups, so if first-choice players are not available, the team may suffer. The middle order is devoid of seasoned campaigners, whereas the top order is full of talented players. In high-stress situations, this inexperience could be a weakness.
Sanju Samson has just returned to the team after undergoing surgery on his finger. The dynamics of the squad may suffer after it is confirmed that he won't be able to keep wickets right away.
For an IPL 2025 campaign to be successful, filling in the holes in overseas batting experience and strengthening their bench will be essential for the Royals.
