NASA has reported that asteroid 2025 KX8 is approaching Earth. The object will make its closest pass on 4 June. Measuring around 120 feet across, it is the size of a small aircraft.

It will fly past at a distance of 1.99 million kilometres. That is close in astronomical terms, but not dangerous. KX8 is part of the Aten group, which often crosses Earth’s orbit.
