Travellers on the Yamuna Expressway now have a new landmark to admire—the tallest statue of Lord Krishna in India. Standing at an impressive 108 feet, the statue was recently unveiled by Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of Tourism, Jaiveer Singh, along with Mathura’s Member of Parliament and Bollywood actor Hema Malini.
The magnificent statue is located at Gaur Yamuna City, a sprawling 250-acre township developed by Gaurs Group. The unveiling ceremony was attended by renowned singer Kailash Kher, adding a spiritual and cultural touch to the event.
Jaiveer Singh expressed his confidence that this statue will become a major attraction for tourists and devotees traveling along the Yamuna Expressway. He emphasized that it will not only boost tourism but also contribute to the local economy by creating employment opportunities and fostering business growth.
Manoj Gaur, Chairman and Managing Director of Gaurs Group, described the statue as a grand tribute to Lord Krishna’s divine grace and legacy. He highlighted its significance as a symbol of faith that will draw pilgrims and tourists en route to Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. Gaurs Group remains committed to preserving and promoting India’s rich religious heritage through such initiatives.
Gaur Yamuna City: A Vision for the Future
Gaur Yamuna City, one of India’s largest integrated townships, will feature over 20,000 residential units. The project has dedicated nearly 65% of its land to open spaces, creating a serene and eco-friendly environment for residents.
Yamuna Expressway
The 165.5-km-long, six-lane-wide Yamuna Expressway has become a key driver of development and investment in the Delhi-NCR region. The construction of Noida International Airport has further accelerated growth, attracting industries, businesses, and infrastructure projects along the corridor. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has already acquired land to support this expansion, making the area a major hub for economic and real estate development.
With its strategic location and spiritual significance, the 108-ft Lord Krishna statue is set to become a symbol of faith, tourism, and progress along the Yamuna Expressway.
