The global slowdown scare is only getting worse. Germany's GDP rose a dismal 0.1% in the second quarter of this fiscal, upping the stakes for the Merkel-Sarkozy meet later tonight. Angela Merkel is to meet Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris to discuss the eurozone crisis.

As we await the outcome of the meeting between French President Nicolas Sarkozy and the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, much deliberation and speculation surrounds what exactly they would talk about.
We know that the subject of euro bonds is not officially on the agenda, although it is clear that in Germany, support for this measure is growing as measured by the German Export Association, as measured by financial advisors to the government and even the German presidency is quoting members of Angela Merkel
