Titlagarh in Odisha was today the hottest place in the country with maximum temperature recorded at 47.5 degrees Celsius even as severe heatwave conditions continued to prevail across the state.

Titlagarh in Odisha was today the hottest place in the country with maximum temperature recorded at 47.5 degrees Celsius even as severe heatwave conditions continued to prevail across the state.

Titlagarh, which recorded 47 deg C yesterday, witnessed the mercury rising further to 47.5 deg C.

"Titlagarh in Odisha's Bolangir district is the hottest place in the country with temperature recorded at 47.5 deg C.

Besides, three places in the state also recorded temperatures at or above 46 deg C," IMD director Sarat Sahu told PTI.
