Effective April 1, Malaysia Airlines will deploy its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft on both of its daily nonstop services between Kuala Lumpur and Doha.
With the upgrade to the Airbus A350 aircraft on both daily flights, passengers will experience enhanced comfort with the state-of-the-art seats in all cabin classes and an innovative in-flight entertainment experience.
The airline currently operates the twice daily service which departs from Kuala Lumpur via MH164 at 2.55 am and MH160 at 9 pm, with return flights from Doha departing via MH165 at 8.05 am and MH161 at 1.50 am. These services include Qatar Airways’ codeshare on both routes.
Since November 2023, the airline has deployed the Airbus A350 aircraft on one of its daily services, complemented by its Airbus A330-300. Malaysia Airlines will be deploying its newly acquired Airbus A350 on the second daily service, which boasts a seating capacity of 300, including 40 in Business Class, 32 in Economy Comfort – featuring larger seat pitch and width – and 228 in Economy Class. With a 1-2-1 configuration, the Business Class cabin features the Thompson XL Vantage seats, providing passengers with comfort and direct aisle access for easy movement, in addition to more storage space to ensure practicality and accessibility.
“The strategic decision to deploy our A350s on both daily services reflects our commitment to continually enhancing the passenger experience, aligning with one of our key customer priorities: ensuring optimal cabin comfort. With the route demonstrating robust performance, we are confident in both the route's success and our role in facilitating connectivity to Doha and beyond with our unparalleled Malaysian Hospitality,” said Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, group managing director of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG).
