This week on Indianomics we bring an interesting presentation by the Reserve Bank of India’s Governor, Raghuram Rajan. His speech when he accepted the Deutsche Bank Prize for excellence in financial economics.
The speech itself was on the causes and consequences of unconventional monetary policies followed by developed economies in the aftermath of the 2008 crisis. But his observations give us some insight into how he looks at various facets of central banking and therefore how he may approach issues in India. Since financial markets always want to understand the mind of their regulator, we are presenting some sound bytes of Governor Rajan, which will hopefully help us understand how he will approach Indian problems.Discover the latest Business News, Sensex, and Nifty updates.
