Born in Chennai and raised in California, Sid Sriram was deeply immersed in South Indian Carnatic music from the tender age of three under his mother's guidance. Growing up in Fremont's Bay Area exposed him to jazz, R&B, and indie rock influences. He honed his musical skills at Berklee College of Music. Sid Sriram gained recognition with a viral cover of Frank Ocean's "We All Try" on YouTube.
His talent later caught the attention of composer AR Rahman, leading to his debut in the Tamil film industry in 2013 with the song 'Adiye' from the movie "Kadal". The track resonated with audiences, paving the way for Sid Sriram to feature on numerous soundtracks across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films.
