"I’d like to thank my terrible childhood and the Academy — in that order. I’d like to thank my veterinarian — I meant wife, Susan Downey over there. She found me a snarling rescue pet and you loved me back to life. That’s why I’m here," Downey Jr. said in his speech after winning the Oscar on Sunday.
This was the actor-producer's third recognition during the ongoing global awards season after winning the Best Supporting Actor award at the BAFTAs held last month and at the Golden Globes, held in January.
